Leadership
• Pathways’ President and Chief Operating Officer together led A Better Chance (ABC) for two decades, guiding the effort that secured Oprah Winfrey as its National Spokesperson and positioning it to be named by Worth magazine as one of the country’s top 100 charities.
• Pathways’ National Program Director has served as a district Title 1 coordinator and school principal. She is a nationally recognized instructional leader, recently completing an extended term (including two as tri-chair) on the Advisory Board of Harvard University’s Principal’s Center. She has been a consultant to a number of school districts including Houston, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Cleveland and San Francisco.
• Pathways’ Senior Advisor is President Emeritus of Hampshire College, where he served for 16 years. His prior experience includes 19 years as an administrator at Dartmouth College. He brings many years of experience on the boards of civic and community organizations. He is also the author of Teach Them to Challenge Authority; 2008, The Continuum International Publishing Group Inc.
